Easy Drop Biscuit

Easy Drop Biscuits from Bread Beckers
Makes 1 dozen


2 cups freshly milled flour (recommended hard white)
1 TBS Baking powder
1 tsp sea salt
1/4 cup oil (melted butter)
1 cup milk

Mix all dry ingredients, make a well in the middle.  Combine milk and oil.  Pour liquid into well and mix with dry ingredients.  Drop by Tbs or ice cream scoop onto greased or parchment paper lined cookie sheet.  Bake at 425 for 10 minutes.

Cheese and Herb
To the above recipe add, 1-2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite), add 1-4 tsp Italian Seasoning (I use oregano).  I also added 1 tsp of garlic and onion powder.


Carrot Cupcakes


Carrot Cupcake 
Yields 12-18 cupcakes

1 1/3 ground soft white wheat
1 tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
1 stick butter, soft
1 tsp cinnamon
½ cup chopped walnut (optional)
2 large eggs (room temperature) 
2/3 cup sugar (or honey)
¼ tsp vanilla
2/3 apple sauce
1 1/3 grated carrots 

Preheat oven 350 degrees

  1. Cream the butter and sugar in a mixer.
  2. In a separate bowl mix dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon, walnuts).
  3. Add one egg at a time to the butter and suger mix.  Then add vanilla.
  4. Add flour mix to the butter mix.
  5. Add, apple sauce to the butter/flour mix.
  6. Add, carrots to the butter/flour mix.

Bake 350 for 20-25mins

Allow to cool and make frosting (4oz room temp cream cheese and 1/4 cup butter beaten until smooth and then add up to 2 1/2 cups of powder sugar)

Chocolate Cupcakes from Ground Whole Wheat




Chocolate Cupcake 

 Yields 15-18 cupcakes


½ cup coco powder
1 cup boiling water
1 1/3 cup fleshly ground soft white wheat flour
1 tsp baking power
1 tsp baking soda 
¼ tsp sea salt
½ cup soft butter
1 cup sugar
2 large eggs
2 tsp vanilla

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F
Yummy Chocolate

  1. Boil water and whisk in coco powder or place room temp water into your VitMix and blend until warm (about 5mins)
  2. In a separate bowl, mix dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt)
  3. In mixer cream butter and sugar (I used granulated honey)
  4. Into the butter mix, add eggs (one at time) and vanilla
  5. Then add dry mix into the butter mix
  6. Lastly add coco mix into the batter.
